The Japan Council for Fall Prevention Science and Co-creation (JACOF) was officially established on December 11, 2025.
To kick off our mission of community safety, we are planning a Launch Event in March 2026 to share our strategic roadmap for public health and social welfare initiatives. We look forward to collaborating with local communities to reduce fall-related injuries among the elderly.
About Us
JACOF is a public interest organization dedicated to preventing falls among the elderly and creating a society where everyone can live with peace of mind. Our primary mission is to promote social welfare by providing educational outreach and scientific safety solutions directly to the community. While we collaborate with researchers and practitioners, our ultimate goal is the social implementation of these safety measures to protect public health.
- Public Awareness & Community Education: Organizing open lectures, workshops, and fall prevention seminars for the general public and senior citizens.
- Community Support & Municipal Collaboration: Providing fall-risk assessment tools and implementation support to local governments and community centers to enhance regional welfare.
- Social Implementation of Safety Programs: Developing and distributing evidence-based fall prevention programs designed for direct use by citizens and caregivers in daily life.
